The hills, made up of marl and sandstone, enjoy a vine-friendly climate thanks to the shelter of the Julian Alps and the proximity to the Adriatic Sea. The marl layers are easily altered. This geological prospect represents a fortunate characteristic of the soil that constitutes a valuable component of the set of factors that are indispensable for qualifying an area with a strong wine vocation. From budding to harvest, the vines enjoy exceptional environmental and climatic conditions, thus being able to maintain their precise quality characteristics.
