Group of Bisiaco Traditional Costumes

The Group of Bisiaco Traditional Costumes will entertain the participants of the event with a series of itinerant performances.

The Group of Bisiaco Traditional Costumes, formally constituted in December 2000, deals with the valorization of the historical, cultural, handicraft, artistic and musical local patrimony, finalized to the promotion of the Bisiacaria, of the province of Gorizia and of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, through the most various activities. The members of the group wear the traditional costume of Bisiacaria.
It participates to the most important European folkloristic manifestations, it works for the safeguard of the dialect and of the Bisiacaria traditions; it prepares thematic exhibitions, also to itinerant character; it takes care of its own publishing activity; it collaborates with schools in different projects; it organizes courses of English language, lace-making, painting, objects manufacture.
It has three choirs, one of adults, and two of children: DIMAN (8 to 15 years), MINI DIMAN (propaedeutic 4-7 years) directed by the teacher Caterina Biasiol.
In 2011 it was recognized as a Popular and Amateur Music Group of National Interest by the Ministry of Heritage and Culture.
In 2012 he received from the President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano the Medal of Representation.
In 2017 he received the "Signaling of Good Example" at the National Award Person and Community 2017.
