The treasure of every land is the history of its products
About us
The Tacoli Asquini farm, located in the "Grave del Friuli" area, is a 23-hectare property used for the cultivation of vines that produce "Friuli" DCO wines.
The property is developed around the ancient family villa, characterised by a tower dating back to the 16th century.
An integral part of the estate is the winery, inaugurated in 1836.
When one speaks of the Grave del Friuli, one refers to the area between the provinces of Udine and Pordenone.
Vine cultivation in this area dates back to the Bronze Age and experienced a particular development in Roman times.
The mountains that provide shelter from the cold northern currents and the proximity to the Adriatic Sea make the climate very mild and therefore suitable for grape growing.
The particular characteristic of the area is the presence of limestone material deposited over the millennia by the Meduna, Cellina and Tagliamento rivers. The stones, in fact, retain the sun's heat, keeping the temperature constant both day and night, thus contributing to the production of fragrant white wines and red wines with an unmistakable taste.
