It is a medium-sized tree, and its bark has deep, longitudinal grooves. The medium-large leaves have a dark green upper page, while the lower page is lighter, with reduced pilosity and very evident ribs. The branches are long internodes, with smooth dark green bark and fine ribs, more pronounced in the distal third of the branch and rather tight lenticels of varying sizes.
The fruit is medium-large (average weight 14g), tending to an elliptical-round shape, dark brown, with darker streaks somewhat spaced apart.
