Pear and chocolate cake
Region: Friuli-Venezia Giulia
Ingredients
500 g pears (including in syrup),
150 g of dark chocolate,
200 g of flour,
150 g of butter,
150 g powdered sugar,
5 eggs,
1 pinch of salt,
1 tablespoon of yeast,
1 lemon.
For the decoration:
10 leaves of rose.
Introduction
Many varieties of pears once present in the region, largely now disappeared. They are a fruit that has always been enjoyed alone or in combination with other foods, (the best known combination is that with cheese). The sweet flesh goes well with foods with a contrasting flavor such as chocolate, both in cakes and "drowned".
