Big events are back in Cividale del Friuli, and on the occasion of the "Cividale sotto le stelle" event, a live concert by Cricca will be held in Piazza Duomo on 8 September.

Cricca (anagrafe Giovanni Cricca) was born on 08/08/2003 in Rimini, lives in Riccione, and graduated from Rimini's linguistic high school.

Born and raised in a globetrotting family of aid workers, he took his first steps in music in the Sidney (Australia) youth choir. Coming into contact with so many different cultures has made him an author free from pre-established labels and attentive to the emotional aspect of songs. He has been performing live regularly since the age of eight, very often solo, being also an excellent guitarist and pianist. In spite of his young age, he has already done the most diverse jobs and from all this life comes his songs.

In 2021, together with a production team and musicians, he started producing his first songs. He enrolled in the Sanremo Academy and was one of the winners. During the summer, he was a finalist in the Contest Deejay on stage 2022, a major summer event organised by Radio Deejay in Riccione. He then entered the casting of Amici 2022, and became part of the school, achieving great success with his unreleased songs and wide popularity. He made it through to the semifinals, reaching the fourth position among the edition's singers. His 'Se mi guardi così' which to date boasts almost 3,000,000 streams on Spotify alone, is one of the songs that has remained in the hearts of the audience of this edition.

The way he connected with his fans, as well as his uncommon technical and expressive skills, led him to tour Italy in the summer of 2023 to sing in front of more than 150,000 people and sign a record deal with Columbia at the end of the year.

CIVIDALE DEL FRIULI Rich in late-medieval works of art, Cividale del Friuli is one of the must-see destinations in Friuli Venezia Giulia.  It guards invaluable testimonies of its Lombard past and it represents the starting point of the UNESCO itinerary dedicated to the legacy that this mysterious population has passed on to Italy. Lombard atmospheres A visit to the city has to include the National Archaeological Museum, the Christian Museum and the Treasure of the Cathedral, the precious Lombard Temple and the mysterious Celtic Hypogeum, a site which was built in many different eras, even if its purpose still today remains unknown.  Perhaps it was a burial site during the Celtic period, and maybe it was used as a prison in Roman and Lombard times. Maybe one day we may be able to gain a better understanding of this place but, for now, we can only admire it in silence. But even without these treasures, Cividale is also definitely well worth a visit for other exhibits: the CIPS, dedicated to the puppets of Vittorio Podrecca from Cividale, Italy's greatest performer of puppetry, and the De Martiis Family Collection, an art gallery exhibiting a series of extraordinary artists of the 20th century. For both children and adults, we recommend a tour of the Acrobati del Sole Park, an ornithological centre dedicated to birds of prey, where you can enjoy a very original show and visit the living environments of these animal species.
