Liptauer

Liptauer triestino is a spreadable cheese mousse, obtained from the amalgamation of different cheeses or ricottas according to the various recipes, flavored with paprika and herbs. It originated in the Austro-Hungarian cuisine and has been adopted and transformed over time, making it a typical dish of Trieste.
