It is a mixture of white lard, bacon, smoked bacon and the addition of some aromatic grass.
Traditionally it is kept in stone tanks and can be consumed by smearing it on bread or breadsticks or, it can be used as a condiment of potato gnocchi or cjarsons (typical ravioli of Carnia, filled with herbs or plums, with various additions ranging from bitter cocoa to ricotta).
