Birthday cake
3 whole eggs,
100 g of butter,
180 g of sugar,
300 g of type 00 flour,
1 sachet of yeast,
1 flask of rum (or liqueur to taste),
the grated rind of 1 lemon,
125 ml of milk.
For the chocolate filling:
100 g of butter,
100 g of sugar,
1 whole egg,
120 g of grated dark chocolate.
The cake in general in our imaginary is considered as a specialty of home. Once upon a time there was no habit of going to the pastry shop to order the cake and it was the hostess who cared about making it, both for the holidays and for the great occasions. The "birthday" cake is therefore a small return to tradition.
