'Burnt' cream
Region: Friuli-Venezia Giulia
Ingredients
40 g of butter,
100 g of wheat flour,
30 g of maize flour,
½ litre of milk,
½ litre of water,
1 glass of must (or Marsala),
50 g of sugar.
Introduction
Numerous variations of fried cream or, as in this case, "burnt". Creams made with eggs and milk, often cooked in a bain-marie (also called rosade) were once among the most common desserts. She recites the rhyme: «with eggs and sugar as jelly made very grateful the rosadina, which was able to marvel because you added vanilla».
