La Titola triestina
500 g of flour,
40 g of yeast,
125 g of sugar,
3 eggs,
½ glass of milk,
a little sweet white wine,
the grated rind of lemon½,
1 yolk,
salt,
boiled eggs colored red with the appropriate food dyes.
With the same paste of the pinze are made titole, braided cakes containing a boiled egg red, which derives from the Greek tradition and recalls the Passion of Christ. You divide the dough into several rolls not too big and three to three they are intertwined. Before putting in the oven, in the space of the head braid you place the hard-boiled egg.
