Stewed peas

500 g frozen peas,

1 onion,

3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil,

some "beard" of fennel,

salt.

Introduction

The pea plant (Pisum Sativum) has very ancient origins, the Romans knew two varieties. Today Italy is one of the largest producers of this plant of legumes, whose pod contains from ten to twelve tasty seeds. Rich in protein and potassium, the pea is a versatile vegetable, easy to match, ideal for side dishes.
