Canalutta chestnut

It comes from a medium-high tree with a globular crown, with small leaves whose upper page is dark green, and the lower page is lighter, without pilosity and with evident ribs. The branches are short internodes, and they have a smooth bark with thin different light and small lenticels. The burs are small and have three fruits; the spines are rigid and of medium length. The fruit is small (average weight 7.5g), with an elliptical-spheroidal shape, light brown with darker streaks, rather spaced and irregular.
