The treasure of every land is the history of its products
The tree is medium-sized, with a bark showing showing deep longitudinal grooves. The leaves are medium in size and have the upper page of a very intense dark green colour, while the lower page is slightly lighter, without pilosity and with averagely evident ribs. The branches are medium-long internodes, with a generally smooth bark longitudinally furrowed with lenticels. The burs are medium in size, with an almost ellipsoidal, sometimes spherical shape, containing on average 2-3 fruits, with relatively long and not very tight thorns. The fruit has a medium-large size (average weight 11.6g), generally elliptical and brown-beige, and it is crossed by darker streaks, which are evident but more spaced than the Striped Chestnut.
