Introduction
“Sarde”, “sardine”, “sardelle”, “sardoni”: “confusion” reigns supreme in the world of blue fish. In Trieste, the term “sardoni” refers to small anchovies, while sardines, slightly larger in size, are called “sardelle”. In any case, both are very tasty in a preparation such as breaded frying.
