The treasure of every land is the history of its products
Bivalve mollusc fished all over the regional coast in sandy, muddy, or detrital sea bottoms and among the sea grass meadows. It can be found from few metres to 100 metres of depth.
The shell is rounded, its surface has concentric lamella-shaped growth streaks, which in the rear and front assume the shape of tubercles. The colour varies from yellowish-white to light brown, and the interior is white and shiny.
